Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour Encouraged Students to chase dreams
A standing-room-only crowd of students packed the BGSU Lenhart Grand Ballroom on October 11, eager to learn how to become successful entrepreneurs from those “20-somethings” who already are. The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour stopped at BGSU, bringing some of the nation’s top young entrepreneurs to campus in order to share their enthusiasm, experiences, and insight into what it takes to start-up businesses. Words like “passion,” “hard work,” “dreams” and “perseverance” were emphasized by all of the speakers during the four-hour, interactive event.
Students learned how to convert their dreams of entrepreneurship into reality. According to the Tour’s speakers, it is okay to fail because famous entrepreneurs failed before they succeeded. So persevere and remain passionate, and you too can succeed like we have.
BGSU student, Megan Bockbrader, was inspired by this unique event. “I signed up with the intentions of thinking I would hear some good speeches and might learn something useful. That proved to be true, but I gained so much more than just that. This event inspired me to chase my dreams and passions. I’m so thankful that I took advantage of this wonderful opportunity.”
This nationally recognized Extreme Tour travels across the U.S. to generate excitement for and to spotlight entrepreneurship on college campuses. It was evident from the hundreds of students that turned out for this event at BGSU that entrepreneurship is an important passion among these college students.
The BGSU College of Business Administration, along with the Dallas-Hamilton Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, brought this Extreme Tour to campus. The College’s entrepreneurship academic programs offer opportunities for students of all majors to explore entrepreneurship and minor in it as well.
